Andre Johnson retired from the United States Air Force as a colonel, after almost three decades of distinguished service. In 1992 he entered the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School as a member of A-Squadron, and graduated in 1993. While at the Prep School, Andre was a member of the football team. In the summer 1993, he entered the U.S. Air Force Academy and was assigned to Hellcats, B-Flight, Basic Cadet Training Squadron. He entered the Cadet Wing as a member of Cadet Squadron (CS) 30, The Knights. During the summer of his 2-degree year, Andre became a member for CS-35, The Weasels. While at the Academy, Andre was a 3-
year letter award winner on the Varsity Intercollegiate football team, he was a member of the Way of Life Committee (USAFA’s Black Student Union) and he served on Wing Staff the spring semester of his Firstie year. On 28 May 1997, Andre graduated with the “Class of 97” (Keep it Rev’In), USAFA’s 39th graduating class.
He was commissioned as a Supply and Fuels Officer and would later be designated as a Logistics Readiness Officer and Aircraft Maintenance Officer. Throughout his distinguished career, he led multi-discipline complex organizations and provided program management and oversight for multi-million-dollar programs. As a former group commander and three-time squadron commander, he built high-preforming complex teams who succeeded in high-demand and high-stakes environments, both in garrison and deployed in support of OPERATIONS Iraqi an Enduring Freedom. Additionally, he held leadership positions at staff-levels leading strategic policy and resourcing development, logistics management, and customer-facing at U.S. Indo
Pacific Command, the Department of the Air Force, and the Defense Logistics Agency. He obtained the Joint Service Officer qualification, a testament to his collaborative leadership. Andre also served as a Corporate Fellow at the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation.
He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the U.S. Air Force Academy, a master’s degree in international relations from Troy University, and a master’s degree in leadership and counseling from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He possesses Defense Acquisition certifications in Lifecyle Logistics and Program Management. Additionally, he has a certificate in Business Logistics from the Keenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a certificate from the Center of Creative Leadership in Strategic Leadership.
Andre grew up in a military family and calls Colorado Springs home, by way of Langley AFB, Virginia. He is the Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lion 6 Solutions, a company that provides general consulting services.
