Carmilya Jones is the Treasurer of the Way of Life (WOL) Group, where she oversees the finances of the 501(c)(3) organization. Originally from North Carolina, she is an active-duty officer in the United States Space Force. Carmilya graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) Preparatory School in 2007 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from USAFA in 2011. During her time at the Academy, she served as President of the Way of Life Committee and as a manager for the women’s volleyball team.
Throughout her military career, Carmilya has held various roles, including recruiter for USAFA Admissions, missile operator, Global Positioning System operator, executive officer, and engagement strategist. Above all, she is a proud wife to Steve Jones, a 2012 USAFA graduate, and a devoted mother to two children, Elijah and Moriah. Carmilya believes that WOL is a powerful force for change in the community and a key contributor to increasing minority enrollment and retention at USAFA.
